AKP Performing Arts drama students study towards LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Examinations alongside competing in Speech and Drama federation festivals and appearing in regular student concerts.
At their private LAMDA examination centre in Boston (AKPLIN), students have achieved 100% LAMDA pass rate with the majority achieving Merit and Distinction grades. Our recent spring 2017 examination session was no exception with several students achieving in excess of 90+ marks with one receiving an outstanding 100 marks.
Within the LAMDA Framework students are able to study for the following Exams:
● Speaking of Verse and Prose
● Reading for Performance
● Speaking in Public
● Solo Acting
● Duologue Acting
● Group Acting
● Devised Performance
● Musical Theatre
Classes are available on a one to one basis at centrally located Boston LAMDA examination centre or through external school visits (to be arranged with schools consent.) Duologue, Group Workshop classes and regular concerts are also available to students.
LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies. They have been offering practical examinations in communication and performance subjects for over 130 years.
